1gbps cable and 100mbps cable both I have. which is called as cat 6 cable and cat 3 cable.

If your pc supports 1gpbs high chance your laptop didn't support that.

### How to check that how much speed my cable gives?

It is written on your wire check it.

Connect the cable 

Machine 1

Go to the ipv4 settings click on ethernet

**Ip address**

192.168.1.1

**Subnet mask**

255.255.255.0

**Default gateway**

192.168.1.2 - machine 2 ip.

DNS Server

8.8.8.8 - google dns server

Machine 2

Go to the ipv4 settings click on ethernet

**Ip address**

192.168.1.2

**Subnet mask**

255.255.255.0

**Default gateway**

192.168.1.1 - machine 1 ip.
